ICC Men’s T20 World Cup

History:

          ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, it is first known as ICC World Twenty20. It is the international championship of 20 over which is organized by the ICC (International Cricket Council), now a days the ICC tournament is played between 16 teams from all over the world. ICC chose the teams by top ten ranking from all over the world and the remaining six teams are select from T20 World Cup which qualifies in the given deadline.

Background History of ICC T20 Tournament:

          When the Benson and Hedges tournament ended in 2002 the ECB the cricket organizer needs some more tournament to fill the space and to increase the popularity of the cricket game. They also thought about the game player those who are not interested in One day cricket matches. ICC gives the idea of T20 tournament in which 20 over per inning to short the time and great entertainment, the board of chairman agreed to adopt this new format.

The first T20 matches in history is played on 13 June 2002 between the English countries in the Twenty20 world cup, the first ICC world T20 is played between England and Australia. In which the Australia won by 9 wickets to claim the title. On the second occasion it attracted the attention of more than 27000 people , and now days ICC is the most watched cricket league in the world. It also gives the winning team a huge amount of prize approximately 1000000 US dollars.

First time with 16 teams

          In 2012 the ICC T20 world cup is first time played between 16 teams were present but it was reversed to 12 teams , that ICC T20 tournament was played  in Bangladesh between 10 teams from the top ranking the remaining six was associated members who qualified through the ICC T20 2011 edition. Three teams including Nepal,Hongkong and UAE which made their first debut in ICC T20 tournament.

 

 

Increasing the number of teams to 20

          According to the latest news from the ICC organizer we became to know that the tournament which will occur in the years of 2024,2026,2028 and 2030 the teams number increases to the 20 teams according to the news of the June 2021.

 

Changes due to the Covid-19

          In the month of June , the ICC cricket cup organizer says that the 2020 and 2021 tournament will be occur one yeat late due to the Covid 19 pandemic , the ICC of 2020 is going to be hosted by Australia and the ICC tournament of 2021 was going to hosted by India which postpond to October 2022, both the teams are given the right to hosted the tournament but in reverse order in such a way that the India will host the tournament of 2021 and the Australia is going the host the tournament of 2022 according the ICC organizer. ICC also announced that the tournament will start from the 17 October and end in the month of November on the date of 14 which will occur in United Arab Emirates.

2021 continue tournament of T20

          In the tournament of ICC T20 world cup of 2021 total 16 teams were present and the England announced to change their squad of members 12-teams tournament . But the remainiing team including Pakistan,India,Bangladesh,Newzeland,Australia,Oman and new Guinea announced their teams according to the ICC organizer rules which states the the teams will carry 15 members with 3 reverse , the last date of submission is 10 September.

Final Match of ICC T20 World Cup

The final match which will be played between the best teams of ICC T20 World Cup which include New Zeland and Australia, the team of NewZeland won the semi final from the rival England and make his position in the final , on the other hand of ICC T20 World Cup the Australia won the match from the rival Pakistan which is also the good team and came here without losing any match, however the final match of ICC T20 World Cup will be palyed between Australia and New Zeland on the date of 14 November in the international stadium of Abu Dhabi.
